Refund Policy on CMS Certified Mortgage Specialist Training Program

Capstone offers all its students a free 3 hour viewing evaluation period which must be completed within 10 days of purchase.  After purchasing either the CMS ” Certified Mortgage Specialist for Loan Originators” or CMS “Certified Mortgage Specialist” for Loan Processors, you may request a refund if the student hasn’t logged  in for more than 3 hours of training.  You may also request a refund if your request is made within 10 days of your purchase.

You may not request a refund within your 10 day evaluation period if the student has logged 3 or more hours of the training.

Refund requests must be directed to Garry Trost at 888-254-3431.  If after school hours leave your request with our answering service so we can document your request.

An Administrative fee of $50.00 and a 4.5% credit card transaction fee will be deducted from the CMS purchase price.
Refunds will not be processed until all applicable training materials have been returned to Capstone Institute in resale able condition.

  Refund Policy With All Other Online Video Self-Paced Training:

Capstone offers all its students a free 3 hour, 7 day viewing evaluation period.  This means after purchasing an online training class, you have 7 days to log into your training or 3 hours  to sample the training.

If the student is not happy with the training after 3 hours of viewing, or 7 days from the purchase date, they may request a refund by sending their request to or to

Refunded Amount:
The student must call 888-234-3431 to receive their return authorization . Capstone will e-mail the student a FedEx return label to return their materials. All  materials must be returned within 10 days of the return authorization. Refunds will not be processed until all training materials have been returned to Capstone Institute in resale able condition. We do not charge a  restocking fee but we do charge  a 4.5% credit card transaction fee that will be deducted from the purchase price. Refund credits will be immediate applied to the purchasers’ credit card when the materials are returned to Capstone in resell able condition.

Refund Policy For Live Classroom Instruction:

Purchaser and or Student must give at least 3 business days notice to Capstone Institute that the student will not be able to attend.

If a Class is scheduled for Friday, the Student or Purchaser must give notice that they will not be attending no latter than Tuesday 5PM (EST) prior to the Friday class. Send your notice to .  Refunds will be processed immediately  minus a $20.00 administration fee and minus a 4.5% credit card fee.

If a student misses their training date without giving notice to Capstone of their inability to attend; Purchaser and or Student will not be  eligible for any refund.

Students who wish to postpone their training to a future date may do so by giving at least 1 day notice to Capstone Institute. By giving at least a 1 day notice, Student may postpone their training to a future date without a rescheduling fee but loses their ability to request a refund. All training must be completed within 6 months of purchase date.

Refund Policy For Live/Webinar Courses:

Purchasers and or Students registered for a live online training webinar may receive a full refund minus a $20 Administration fee and a  4.5 % credit card transaction fee by sending their refund request in writing or via e-mail within 3 business days of the event to Capstone Institute, at  All training materials pre-sent to the purchaser must be returned to Capstone Institute in resalable condition and purchaser is responsible for their shipping charges.

In the event Capstone Institute incurs computer disruptions or loss of internet connectivity before or during any live webinar; Capstone Institute reserves the right to reschedule the training to future date.
